Keene State College Outing Club: 4-day, 3-Night Trip to Acadia National Park, Maine
Dates: October 6th to October 9th (Thursday-Sunday)
Join the Keene State College Outing Club for an unforgettable 3-night adventure to the scenic Acadia National Park in Maine! This trip offers a great blend of guided outdoor climbing and hiking, perfect for those looking to experience nature at its finest.

Itinerary:
Thursday, October 3: Departure
2:00 PM: Depart from Keene State College. Make sure to grab lunch beforehand, as we will head straight to our campground.
7:00-9:00 PM: Arrival at campground. Unload and settle in, eat dinner then enjoy the evening.
Friday October 4th: Climbing Day
7:30 AM: Breakfast at the campground.
8:00 AM: Head to climbing location in Acadia National Park.
8:30 AM - 4:00 PM: Rock climbing adventure! This will be a guided experience, suitable for all skill levels.
6:00 PM: Return to campground.
7:00 PM: Group dinner.
Saturday October 5th: Day Hike
7:00 AM: Breakfast at the campground.
8:00 AM: Depart for hiking trail.
8:30 AM - 12:30 PM: Enjoy a 4-hour hike, exploring the natural beauty of Acadia National Park (TRAIL TBD)
1:00 PM: Head back to vacation rental for lunch and hangout, various activities will be available
7:00 PM: Trip highlights and group dinner at the campground
Sunday October 6th: Return to Campus
10:00 AM: Leave from campsite
11:00 AM: Stop in Bar Harbor for lunch and souvenirs
1:00 PM: On the road back home
What to Bring:
Climbing gear (if applicable; additional gear will be provided)
-Climbing shoes
-Harness
-Helmet
-Chalk
Hiking boots or other Closed Toed shoes
Weather-appropriate clothing (Check the weather forecast!)
Pack for 4 days, 3 nights (bring a spare pair of undergarments)
Water bottle and snacks
Personal toiletries and medications
Cost:
$50 per person
Money will be collected at the pre-trip meeting, and day of departure
The cost per person will include transportation, lodging, guided climbing, park fees, and food. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided. You will be responsible for waking up early enough in the mornings to get ready, and eat before departing the airbnb. Because of the expensive nature of the activities and vacation rental, scholarships will not be available for this trip
This trip will be application based, with participants being those who have shown real desire to learn how to climb, become more involved in the club, and who have devoted significant volunteer time.
